In the last year I have really got into running. I love it. I have always wanted to do it but something about it always used to scare me. I used to run about twice a week when I first started. Then I stopped over the Christmas and New year period.
I have slowly started getting back into it. I tend to run once a week at the moment. I want to get back into running twice a week and eventually three times a week but I have been really busy. I struggle during the week to find the time to exercise but I really need to do it.
I really want to join a park run. I haven't run as far as 5km yet but it is part of the plan. My excuse is I currently live quite far from the nearest one, will take half an hour with a mix of walking and bus. I know it is a rubbish excuse, but I really struggle getting up in the morning on a Saturday to do it. I will do it, however and I will be so happy with myself when I have done.
I get a real sense of achievement when I run. Today, I went for a run despite getting over a cold. It was hard but I am so glad I did it. I need to start getting up earlier and going for a run as it will set me up for the day.
