Magic number

What's your magic number? What do I mean by the magic number? It is the number of people that you have slept with. This is something that seems to be important to some people when getting to know someone you might be interested in. A judgement is then made based on that magic number.

But what does it matter? Why is it so important? I don't know why it is so important to some people. If you like someone you like them. You can't judge a person based on their past, that isn't them now. Getting to know someone based on the person that they are now and not what they have done in the past is more important to me. I could be alone in this thinking. I don't ask someone how many people they have slept with because I really don't care. I judge a person on the way they are with me and how they treat me not on anything that did or didn't happen in the past. Yes their past is part of them but they may no longer be that person anymore and do not deserve to be judged based on some number.

That's my opinion anyway. Happy to hear different ideas.
