Feel the fear and do it anyway

So I love this saying, it is my go to. I have spent a lot of my life doing things because I don't ever want to regret it later on in life.

When I was a child I was the one who was always scared of things. My sister and brother had no fear, but I did. I never wanted to go on rides where you went upside down. I was the child who absolutely didn't want to go on a scary ride but then as soon as I went on it I wanted to do it all over again.

As I have got older, I have got more fearless. Where some people grow older and become more fearful I went the opposite. I went travelling and did a skydive and two bungee jumps, which is something I never said I would do but I did it. When people asked me how did I do it? I said you need to switch your brain off and just go for it.

When I did the bungee jump at Nevis, I had watched lots of people go before me so I saw how they struggled to take the jump so I knew I just had to go for it and that's exactly what I did. When I came home from travelling, my friends and family were surprised I did it and watched me do it and were so shocked. I was a different person.

It is the same now as I know I overthink a lot of things and sometimes you just need to do it and don't let the fear take over.

A few years ago, I was in Cape Town and I got involved in pretty much every activity going. Someone said to me, you just say yes. To which I said, I don't know if I will do this again so I making the most of this opportunity.

I need to apply this into everyday life now. Why is it I can do this when I am abroad? I am still fearless compared to others but I have a tendency to overthink things which needs to stop.
